This sugar bowl is a beautiful navy blue color with elaborate gold details on both sides of the bowl, on the upper edges and on the lid. The bowl is in pristine vintage condition, no defects whatsoever.

Effervescently colored everyday items were very hard to come by and were usually owned by people in the upper echelon – members of the Communist party, factory owners, university professors, etc., whereas the proletariat were left with items of far lesser appeal and value.

The teaset is vintage and produced in the Soviet Union in the 1970s. Both the cups and saucers have vivid flower decorations on both sides of the cups and on the saucers as well.

The teaset was manufactured at the Riga Porcelain Fabric, there is a manufacturers imprint on the bottoms of the cups & saucers. The teaset is in excellent vintage condition without flaws or other imperfections.

Hand painted kitchenware was a lot more expensive than your run of the mill Soviet era kitchenware. It was rarely made at the factories and if they were made, they were of limited stock.
